This little prayer for people living on their own entered the Book of Common Prayer in 1979 and came into the ACNA's 2019 prayer book almost word for word. It opens by remembering that Jesus himself, in his earthly ministry, "had nowhere to lay his head," and asks that solitude become a place to meet God rather than a place of loneliness.
